  2. The Indian Parliament elections of 2024, which took place across seven phases between April 19 and June 1, are over, and on June 4 the ballots started to be counted. The National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), is ready to create government for a third time in a row. The National Democratic Alliance (NDA), which formally declared its intention to form the government on June 7, 2024, has unanimously elected Prime Minister Narendra Modi to a second term in office.

According to the election results, the BJP is still very much in charge in several important states. Although they were unable to secure enough seats to form a government, the opposition coalition known as the INDIA alliance—which included the Indian National Congress (INC)—made significant progress in the meantime.

Despite the BJP's ability to establish the government once more, the Congress President, speaking for the INDIA alliance, praised the coalition's efforts in fighting the elections together. The opposition has stressed how committed they are to tackling important problems and preserving constitutional principles.

All things considered, the elections have brought to light the current political realities in India, where the opposition is still active and vocal about their place in the country's democratic process and the NDA is continuing to govern under Modi's leadership.
